
Recently, Namco Bandai announced the first multiplayer details for their upcoming third-person shooter, Inversion. The game will feature up to 16 player online matches as well as team deathmatch and free-for-all gametypes. In addition, the game will have multiplayer modes designed around players’ use of gravity. According to Namco Bandai, it’s even possible to take control of the gravity on an entire level – it might be like turning an ant farm upside-down.
Inversion is coming to the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on February 7th, 2012 in North America and February 10th, 2012 in Europe. Make sure to check back here for more info as the release date draws closer!

Today ChAIR Entertainment released the long awaited multiplayer update to Infinity Blade. The free to download Infinity Blade: Arena update brings several new features to the game, including the following (as noted by ChAIR Entertainment):
- Enter the Arena: Assuming the role of Titan or Knight, fans can now challenge their friends to multiplayer matches online via Game Center
- Survivor Mode: Players face off against a legion of Titans to see how far they can go
- New Holiday Helms: A new helm for every season, ready to be played and mastered
- More than two dozen new magic rings, swords, shields, and helmets for players to collect and master
- New Facebook integration allows fans to view their character on their profile and take a screen grab to share with friends

Today Electronic Arts and game developer DICE release Medal of Honor, which takes place in a new modern day setting for the first time in the FPS series. Somewhat overshadowed by the controversy of naming, and later renaming, the multiplayer enemies “Opposing Force” (see here), Medal of Honor puts players in missions inspired U.S. Army confrontations in Afghanistan.
Medal of Honor is available starting today for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. Launch copies of Medal of Honor come packaged as a “Limited Edition” with extras that include Battlefield 3 Beta access, special weapons and an exclusive Special Ops player skin.
EA notes some highlights on the Medal of Honor series and today’s release of Medal of Honor:

If you missed the Dead Space 2 EA gamescom presentation by Visceral Games, here’s your chance to catch it. In the gameplay video, Isaac straps in and takes a jump through space to The Sprawl. The path is far and full of space debris, which will make for an intense gameplay sequence. What is The Sprawl? Visceral Games has posted a fun and informative little interactive directory on deadspace.ea.com. Poke around and get to know the place you’ll be spending your time in during your stay in Dead Space 2.
There is also a video clip from Steve Papoutsis, the Executive Producer of Dead Space 2, who teases a bit the multiplayer in Dead Space 2, something that wasn’t in the first game. Make sure you check out all these recent updates on the official Dead Space 2 website, at deadspace.ea.com.
Dead Space 2 is scheduled for a January 25, 2011 release on the PlayStation 3 (with an exclusive HD version of Dead Space Extraction), Xbox 360 and PC.

Capcom previously announced that Street Fighter IV would debut on the mobile gaming platform on the iPhone and iPod touch. You can now see Street Fighter IV in action in a gameplay video below, from IGN. The video demonstrates how you can play a match against someone else via Bluetooth connectivity.
GamePro confirmed the fighters that will be in the game: Ryu, Ken, Guile, Blanka, Chun-Li, Dhalsim, M. Bison and Abel. The price point has also been announced at $9.99. Street Fighter IV will be available on the iPhone and iPod touch in March 2010.
