Now is a good time to jump on an offer on a Nintendo DSi system. The MSRP of the Nintendo DSi is usually $169.99. You can now get (while available) a Nintendo DSi White system for $129 from Amazon.com ($40 off). That’s the price of a standard Nintendo DS Lite system.

Why has Amazon.com marked the DSi White at $40 off? Most likely because Nintendo recently announced the Nintendo DSi White Spring bundle for $169.99, which basically is the same system with Mario & Luigi Bowser’s Inside Story. That bundle will be available on April 25, 2010. But hey, if you’re really waiting for the DSi Spring bundle, you can get both separately from Amazon.com now and end up saving $10 in the end. This is likely a limited time offer, so check the latest price on the Nintendo DSi White system here on Amazon.com.

Today’s the first-year anniversary on Nintendo’s DSiWare games. It’s hard to imagine there are over 150 downloadable DSi games and applications so far on the DSi Shop. To mark this moment, Nintendo has released a video recapping some of the games released on DSiWare. Watch the video below, which also shows you a preview of upcoming DSiWare games: Frogger Returns, Earthworm Jim, Metal Torrent, Surviving High School, X-Scape, and Photo Dojo.

If you’re looking for a recommendation of some DSiWare games, here are at least 10 worth checking out:

Fieldrunners (500 Nintendo Points, $5)
Save the Turtles (500 Nintendo Points, $5)
Dr. Mario Express (500 Nintendo Points, $5)
Globulous Party (500 Nintendo Points, $5)
Art Style: PiCTOBiTS (500 Nintendo Points, $5)
Faceez (200 Nintendo Points, $2)
Bomberman Blitz (500 Nintendo Points, $5)
Bejeweled Twist (500 Nintendo Points, $5)
Dragon Quest Wars (500 Nintendo Points, $5)
Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again! (800 Nintendo Points, $8)

Overall, the first year of DSiWare games have some great Nintendo DSi games to enjoy under $10. The one thorn on the side of DSiWare is the fact that you can’t re-download your purchases after buying them. This is something that may be hurting the DSi XL and Nintendo’s other upcoming portable systems. Gamers may be less willing to upgrade to newer systems knowing that they can’t take their previous DSiWare games and/or applications with them. In contrast, Sony’s PSP and Apple’s iPhone, iPod touch and iPad allow games and applications to be re-downloaded. Hopefully Nintendo catches on sooner rather than later and makes an amendment to its User Agreement.

See the complete line-up of DSiWare games available here on Nintendo.com.
