
2K Games has released a Mafia II playable demo today. The Mafia II demo throws you back into the ’50s and gives you a sampling of Empire Bay’s suburbs, mobs, and ’50s Playboy pin-up models. The demo-designed “Buzzsaw” level will give you a feel of what you can expect in the game, from third-person gunplay to car chases. It shouldn’t take you more than 20 minutes to complete the demo (or about 10 minutes in the free-roam mode). The downloadable Mafia II demo is currently available for the Xbox 360 at about 1.03 GB (Xbox LIVE Gold Members, queue it up here) and PC (via Steam).

A demo for Just Cause 2 is now available for download on the PlayStation 3′s PlayStation Store, Xbox 360′s LIVE Marketplace (here for Gold Members) and PC (here on Steam). Give it a go and you’ll be hooked. You’ll start at a simple ammo dump to get you warmed up. After some fireworks, you can explore Panau as you choose. You have 30 minutes to check it out, after which the demo will reset. Take down a towering radar station, use your grappling hook to get around fast, hijack an enemy helicopter and more. There is plenty to do in the brief 30 minutes you’ll get in the Just Cause 2 demo.

Get ready to try out some stunts and creative kills of your own in the Just Cause 2 demo. A demo for Just Cause 2 will be released next week, on Thursday, March 4, 2010. The demo will be available for the PlayStation 3 (via PlayStation Network), the Xbox 360 (via Xbox LIVE) and PC (via Steam).
Here is what you will find in the Just Cause 2 demo:
"The Just Cause 2 demo will feature a massive 35 square miles of the Lautan Lama Desert, a vast expanse of stunning, sun-scorched scenery taking up just one of the many islands in the 400 square miles of the Panau archipelago. Packed with towns, villages, military installations, mountain ranges, missions and more, the demo will feature an astonishing amount of activities for the player… and opportunities for adrenaline-fuelled chaos are limitless.

Keep a lookout for a demo of Heavy Rain tomorrow, Feburary 11th, from the PlayStation Store. The playable demo for the PlayStation 3 exclusive game will include a couple of chapters. This is the same demo that was provided on other PlayStation Store locations around the world last week as part of the ‘Four Days’ online experience, only you won’t have to work for it.
Here are the details on what you’ll be able to play in the demo, as described on the US PlayStation Blog:
“This PlayStation 3-exclusive demo will feature two full chapters from the game, in which players will immerse themselves in the roles of Norman Jayden, a FBI profiler brought in to help local law enforcement find and capture the Origami Killer, and Scott Shelby, a private investigator hired by families of past victims to bring their killer to justice. Gamers will finally get the chance to try this psychological thriller where players make choices that will determine their story, all in the hopes of uncovering the mystery of Heavy Rain.”
Heavy Rain will be released exclusively on the PlayStation 3 on February 23, 2010.
