Capcom has confirmed that Resident Evil 5 will be getting a Mercenaries mini-game mode. You’ll have to unlock it to play the timed mini-game, which will put your skills to the test.

“In The Mercenaries, you’ll tackle modified levels from the story mode as enemies continually spawn with scarce ammo, fiercer enemies, and timed challenges which lead to a franticly visceral experience,” said Capcom.

See several screenshots from the Mercenaries mini-game here. Resident Evil 5 will be released for the PLAYSTATION 3, Xbox 360, as well as a limited Xbox 360 Resident Evil 5 Elite Red Console next week, March 13th.
