You didn’t think it was over for Wesker, did you? Resident Evil’s villain makes an appearance in the upcoming Lost Planet 2 as a playable character. You’ll have to unlock Wesker, with a code you can obtain by pre-ordering from GameStop for the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 game.
Details from Capcom:
"Fans that pre-order Lost Planet 2 at GameStop locations in North America will be able to unlock Resident Evil’s most famous character, Albert Wesker, as an exclusive playable skin when they play Lost Planet 2. Also, players who take advantage of the pre-order bonus will get their hands on some additional firepower via a revolver added to their arsenal of weapons. A nimble yet extremely powerful firearm, the revolver will help players hone their "one shot kill" skills."
This continues Capcom’s tradition of crossing over characters from other games in Lost Planet. In the original Lost Planet game, Frank West (from Dead Rising) made an appearance. No word on whether other retailers will be offering pre-order bonus items. Capcom, you still need to out-do yourself from Lost Planet’s original pre-order bonus launch.
UPDATE 2/25/10: Capcom has announced that Wesker and the Magnum gun will be available for everyone who purchases Lost Planet 2. GameStop is now offering 2 maps as a pre-order incentive. See the details here.

Capcom today announced the release date and pricing of the new Versus mode downloadable content for Resident Evil 5. Starting tomorrow, you’ll be able to purchase it for 400 Microsoft Points ($5) from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace and for $4.99 from the PlayStation Network.
About the new Versus mode, from Capcom:
“Versus allows up to four players to match wits in online battles across two very different game types. Slayer’s Rule is a point-based game that challenges players to kill Majinis. In Survivor’s Rule, players hunt the most dangerous game, each other! Players can begin the hunt as Chris, Sheva or other secret characters, and choose from either one-on-one or two-versus-two team matches for either of the two gameplay styles.”
