Have you been itching to pre-order the Nintendo 3DS? According to an anonymous tip, GameStop and EB Games stores in Canada (unconfirmed for the US) are now taking pre-orders for the Nintendo 3DS. As seen in the picture above from a GameStop store, a release date is listed for March 20, 2011 along with a price of $299.99 (CAD). According to the anonymous source, there are no specific pre-orders for the colors of the handheld (Cosmo Black or Aqua Blue), however gamers in Canada can now head out and check with their local GameStop or EB Games store to put a pre-order deposit towards the 3DS (minimum deposit could be $5 or $50).
Keep in mind this is only GameStop’s estimate and no news is concrete until we hear word from Nintendo regarding the price and release date. GameStop.com also no longer shows the temporary Nintendo 3DS notification sign-up page when searching for “Nintendo 3DS” on their website (it can be accessed directly via this older link). Could more details be coming from Nintendo America soon? Keep a lookout on GamingBits.com for more details on the Nintendo 3DS and pre-order availability!

Gizmodo has some brand new pictures on what may be the next iPhone. We already know that Apple’s 4th Generation iPhone is in the works, but we never expected such a sleek overhaul and such a quick appearance. Now some of the information on this phone and how it was found is a little bit weird, but based on the information from Gizmodo we know the following:
- Sleek new design
– 80GB media storage
– 16% larger battery
– Front-facing camera
– Larger, better camera on the back of the phone, with flash.
– Heavier but slimmer than the iPhone 3GS
– Higher resolution display
– A second mic for noise cancellation
– Shows up in iTunes in a whole new ID
Is this phone the real deal or is it just some kind of a chinese rip-off? Nothing is known for sure, but one can hope that this is what will be in the palm of our hands later this year.
UPDATE: Read how, and who slipped up on the iPhone leak here on gizmodo.com.

I am sure anyone holding a copy of Halo 3: ODST was pleased to hear that May 3rd marks the day owners of the game can go on Xbox LIVE and begin downloading and playing the Halo: Reach Beta. A rumor has just come from CVG on the possible release date of Halo: Reach. According to UK Retail Stores, Halo: Reach is set to be released on September 14th. That’s roughly one to two weeks before the previous Halo 3 releases (September 25th for Halo 3 and September 22nd for Halo 3 ODST).
This was reportedly to help Halo: Reach grow sales for about 2 months before the new Call of Duty game comes out. Hmm, true or not? Here is what a senior trade source told CVG: "It gives Halo enough time to maximise sales before CoD arrives" and "Xbox 360 is pretty synonymous with Call Of Duty, so it makes commercial sense for Microsoft and Activision to agree both games won’t come out too close to one another."

There are rumors spreading quickly that Robin will be making an appearance in the next version of Batman: Arkham Asylum, which is currently in development at Rocksteady Studios. Based on a post over at NeoGAF, the entry of Robin in the voice cast in the International Movie Database has “confirmed” him in the game. They have also made the suggestion that this inclusion will usher in co-operative play in the highly anticipated sequel.
I would definitely not get your hopes up yet because this is still a rumor, but the addition of multiplayer over Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network would be awesome. Stay tuned to GamingBits for more information on the second game in the Batman: Arkham Asylum series as it is released.
