Two Worlds II review summary:
Two Worlds II is a leap forward for the fantasy action-RPG series. Character customization and development is very deep, from designing your own character’s appearance to the exponential crafting of weapons, equipment and magic. Things only get better in Two Worlds II the more time that is invested in it, and there will be many hours to sink in (easily over 20 hours). The world of Antaloor is huge and rich with fantasy (orcs, demons, skeletons, and even the unexpected velociraptors). Some of Antaloor’s environments are particularly thick with rich textures and wildly varied with savannahs, jungles, swamps, and more. A few technical issues pop up very rarely, such as loading of objects and repeat cutscenes, but nothing to impede the overall fun. If you enjoy action fantasy role-playing games, you would do yourself an injustice to miss out on Two Worlds II.

January 24, 2011 video game releases

Hope you’ve set some cash aside and plenty of time for this week’s new games. Two heavy hitting game sequels are out in the week ahead: Dead Space 2 and Two Worlds II. Visceral Games and EA release Dead Space 2 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. The hotly anticipated action sci-fi horror reveals more on the protagonist Isaac Clarke while taking place in an expanded metropolis, the Sprawl. Online multiplayer is introduced for the first time in the Dead Space series. If you own both a PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, pickup the PlayStation 3 edition for the added bonus PlayStation Move game, Dead Space Extraction (previously only available on the Wii). Prima Games has a nice Collector’s Edition Strategy Guide coming out as well that fans of the series shouldn’t miss. Prima Games’ Dead Space 2 LE guide includes bonus extras in addition to gameplay strategies, such as concept art, interviews, and even a letter from the Church of Unitology.

SouthPeak Games brings Two Worlds II for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, an action-RPG rich with fantasy and a huge open world to explore. Vastly improved over the original Two Worlds game, Two Worlds II will satisfy players craving for an open world fantasy adventure unlike anything else on the horizon. Deep character development and customization of weapons and magic allow players to craft their hero as they enjoy most: ranged arrow attacks, up close dual-wielding sword brawls, stealthy assassinations, or casting some insane spells. Objects and environments also reflect the meticulous attention to detail in Two Worlds II. Don’t miss it.

Both Dead Space 2 and Two Worlds II offer pre-order bonuses, not only saving you some cash, but giving you additional gameplay and in-game items. Watch for reviews of Dead Space 2 and Two Worlds II on GamingBits soon!

Two Worlds II - Luciendar Sword

The release of Two Worlds II is near, with less than one week to go before it arrives in stores (or your mailbox). For those looking for more details on some pre-order perks, SouthPeak Games has released screens from the Luciendar Sword and a video of the labyrinth level pre-order exclusives to make any goblin king jealous. GameStop has the pre-order exclusive deal on this bonus content for Two Worlds II so if you want the extra loot, lock it in now.

See screenshots and stats of the Luciendar Sword here.

Watch a video of the labyrinth level here on YouTube.com. Seasoned dungeon crawlers and RPG players can see if their navigational and mapping skills still hold up in a dungeon crammed with many tight corners. Looking at the video, I cringe at the challenge but maybe the loot in the main chamber is worth it!

Remember that in addition to the GameStop pre-order exclusives (available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC), there is an extra $10 rebate and t-shirt you can get for ordering Two Worlds II before it hits the streets. Set off on your adventure prepared with extra gameplay, a sword, t-shirt, and a bonus $10 to keep you fed as you find your way around a maze. Don’t miss out on our little Two Worlds II Q&A primer here for details on some of the unexpected things you will find in this fantasy action-RPG.

Two Worlds II will be available next week on January 25th in North America. For more on Two Worlds II, visit the official website at www.twoworldstwo.com.
