Team Ninja has unveiled the first gameplay video from their upcoming game, Dead or Alive 5. The video showcases about two minutes from a pre-alpha demo (in its early stages of development). Watch the new Dead or Alive 5 extended gameplay video now below!
From Tecmo Koei:
“The stage is set, the fighters matched. As the dark ninja Ryu Hayabusa and the karate expert Hayate face off, one thing is certain DEAD OR ALIVE 5 promises to be a knock out title. Watch as Hayate sends his opponent flying from the side of this stunning hi-rise set on a gritty rooftop in Shibuya square. A nearby tank explodes upon crashing into the falling debris quickly turning the busy Shibuya streets into a flame-engulfed arena. Hayate claims Round 1 for his own as he slams Hayabusa into the ground. In Round 2, Hayate is no match for Hayabusa’s swift ingenious counter attacks as he soon finds himself face down breathless from a head on collision with a flying vehicle.”
Staying true to its legacy, this next installment will offer fast paced 3D action combat fighting while evolving the Dead or Alive series to satisfy both old and new fans alike. In DEAD OR ALIVE 5, the scenes are ever-changing and players will be able to advance their fighting skills in a whole new dimension. DEAD OR ALIVE 5 is currently in development by Team NINJA and scheduled for release in 2012on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. ”

Review Summary: Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3 is one of those games that can be classified in its own genre. It is a yearly release filled with hack and slash gameplay for which the series is famous. A new cell-shaded art style and a massive amount of unlockables cannot save this game from its sometimes mundane combat. The poor AI isn’t worth going through its almost 300 levels. If you’ve played the previous games in the series, pass this time or wait until the price drops.
Samurai Warriors 3 will be coming exclusively to the Wii platform, Nintendo announced today. Forming a partnership with Tecmo Koei for the release of Samurai Warriors 3, Nintendo announced some details for the release on the Wii in North America. The game was previously released in Japan in December 2009.
From Nintendo:
"Launching in North America in fall 2010, Samurai Warriors 3 is an evolution of the Warriors series, featuring an innovative new game mode and a completely fresh storyline.
In addition to a host of new characters and combat and game-play elements, the game also will test players with new tactical and strategic challenges on the battlefield.
Samurai Warriors 3 offers two-player online and offline co-op with enhanced sharing features. The game also uses a special new game mode that offers players unique control of characters never seen before. This game mode is based on the Famicom game Nazo no Murasamejo (The Mysterious Murasame Castle™) inspired by Nintendo video game designer Shigeru Miyamoto."
Again is a new Nintendo DS game coming from Tecmo Koei, which plays out like an interactive crime novel. Game developer Cing released the game in Japan in December 2009. Cing previously released Hotel Dusk: Room 215, which was an interactive murder/mystery on the Nintendo DS. In Again, the orientation of the DS is also vertical (like a book) as in Hotel Dusk.
Again is set in a fictitious New Jersey. You play as FBI Agent Jonathan Weaver, who is trying to solve murders from 19 years ago. Murders that were Weaver’s own family. As the case re-opens, so do copycat killings. Using the Nintendo DS dual screens, you investigate crime scenes using "Past and Current Visions," something that should introduce a unique time-based element. "Unexpected twists" are promised throughout Again.
