Assassin's Creed - Ezio's FuryUbisoft is breaking game collectibles out of the collector’s edition box. Fans of popular Ubisoft franchises like Assassin’s Creed, Ghost Recon and Might & Magic will be able to purchase limited run collectibles based on Ubisoft games. Traditionally higher priced Special Edition, Limited Edition or Collector’s Edition game bundles have included statuettes, figures or other unique items. Third-party collectible manufacturers have also stepped in to fill the void of fans want for more licensed merchandise based on their favorite game. Ubisoft takes it in-house and online in their new UbiCollectibles storefront, in Europe’s UbiShop, to offer a new limited range of collectible gaming merchandise.

Here are the first limited run game collectibles to be offered from UbiCollectibles, as noted by Ubisoft:

“The first UbiCollectibles are inspired by fans of the Assassin’s Creed®, Might & Magic® Heroes® and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon franchises. More than 29 million people have purchased an Assassin’s Creed video game, and now a fortunate 2,000 will have the chance to buy a highly detailed, hand-crafted statuette called “Ezio’s Fury.” The figurine shows Ezio in a combative stance as he moves in for the kill.

Might & Magic Heroes VI - Archangel MichaelIn Might & Magic® Heroes VI, Michael, the legendary Archangel, is one of the most charismatic characters, and 500 fans will now have the opportunity to own an intricate polyresin figurine of Michael, wings spread and sword drawn for battle. UbiCollectibles is using a design chosen with fans on Facebook to create this unique offering.”

Other Ubisoft collectibles are in development from games like Ghost Recon, which are “Production Team” t-shirts. Right now, the UbiCollectibles store is accessible to European customers and is accepting pre-orders on merchandise at shop.ubi.com/ubicollectibles. No word on whether, or when, UbiCollectibles will be available in North America. Ubisoft joins game publishers and developers like Square Enix (square-enix-shop.com), BioWare (biowarestore.com) and Capcom (shop.capcom.com), who have been offering limited run game merchandise and other collectibles from their own online storefronts.
