UFC 2009 Undisputed becomes a Xbox 360 Platinum Hits and PS3 Greatest Hits title

THQ today announced that UFC 2009 Undisputed has become an Xbox 360 "Platinum Hits" and PS3 "Greatest Hits" title. UFC 2009 Undisputed has achieved the new status, and new $29.99 MSRP, for selling over 3.5 million units worldwide to date. The videogame based on the Ultimate Fighting Championship becomes accessible to even more players at the lower price point. Dana White, President of UFC, states how the game opened UFC to players and how it leads into the next release of UFC Undisputed.

“We are excited that so many fans around the world have helped us achieve these impressive milestones in our debut year,” said Dana White, President, UFC. “UFC 2009 Undisputed opened the door for us to further share the UFC brand with videogame and fight fans around the world, and we cannot wait to return this spring with the release of UFC Undisputed 2010 on May 25, 2010.”

Spike TV’s 7th Annual ‘Video Game Awards 2009′ tonight at 8pm ET

Tonight at 8:00 PM ET, Spike TV is hosting its 7th Annual Video Game Awards 2009. Visit the Spike TV VGA page here starting at 3pm ET today, where the pre-show VGA rehearsals will be and where you can catch a world premiere game trailer. A few world premiere game trailers are anticipated to be revealed tonight, including new trailers for upcoming games such as Crackdown 2, Halo Reach, Medal of Honor, Tron, UFC Undisputed 2010, and “the next Star Wars game.” See a few game teaser trailers here, here and here.
