EA and DICE have released Battlefield 1943 on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace today. The FPS game is now available for 1200 Microsoft Points ($15). Battlefield 1943 is an online multiplayer-only game, which supports 2 to 24 players. Choose your side, American or Japanese, and your class and try to capture all the checkpoints and deplete enemy forces. DICE’s Frostbite engine powers the game, so you’re free to destroy environments where your enemies may be taking cover. If you’re looking to jump into an online FPS and get into some quick action, Battlefield 1943 is your fix.
From Xbox.com:
“Battlefield 1943 is a multiplayer-only game that lets you enjoy the thrills of Pacific WW2 battles! Pick your path – be it as a rifleman, a steel fisted tank commander, or ace fighter pilot dog fighting to protect the skies. Play as a lone wolf or with your friends, coordinating to turn the tide of battle. This game requires the Xbox 360 hard drive for storage.”
Download the demo from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace or add it to your download queue here. The demo gives you 30 minutes of gameplay, probably good for about 2 full multiplayer matches. The full game is available for purchase from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for $15, which you can purchase and queue up here.
