Since its release in October 2009, over two million copies of Forza Motorsport 3 have been sold worldwide. The game, which is an Xbox 360 exclusive, received critical praise from the enthusiast press, but may have been lost in the shuffle of the fall.
Turn 10, the developer behind the series, has given its community such robust tools and huge amounts of DLC since its release, giving it a long shelf life. As of today, there is another pack available on Xbox LIVE for download. The “Nürburgring Grand Prix Circuit Track Pack” is available for 400 Microsoft Points and includes two separate layouts of the track. I can see this game having long legs up until the next iteration, which may be years away. I applaud Turn 10 for continuing to support such a great game with a steady stream of content. Those sales numbers are great too and definitely warrant a fourth addition to the Forza Motorsport series! Look for this game to achieve “Platinum Hits” status soon and a significant price drop.
