Heads up on a possible update to the Microsoft Point pricing on Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA) titles. Games released on the Xbox 360′s XBLA could get a price cap change. Typically, XBLA games have gone for 400 ($5) to 800 MS Points ($10), reaching up to 1200 ($15) MS Points. With the newly announced file size increase, from 50 MB to 150 MB, XBLA games may cost you more MS Points accordingly.

Speaking at the Game Developers Conference, Microsoft Casual Games Manager Bryan Trussel told CVG: “I think as you find that people make a very, very robust game with a lot of levels, a lot of art or a lot of music associated with it, you might see a correlation between some of the pricing. There won’t be any direct ‘this size equals this price’ but I think you might see correlations along those lines.”

We’ll keep a lookout on the pricing, which will hopefully be kept in line with the amount of content or length of game you are getting from XBLA.
