Microsoft has announced the pricing on using the Live service on Vista. If you do not have a Gamertag (Live Account) from your Xbox 360, the pricing structure is the same as it is for Live on the Xbox 360.
The Silver package is free, Gold package is $49.99 for a 1 year subscription, $19.99 for 3 months or $7.99 for 1 month. You can use your Xbox 360 account (Gamertag) on Vista.

In addition to the Live pricing and details on Vista, a Halo 2 release on Vista will be getting Achievements (41 total) and a Map Editor.

From GameInformer: “Gamers will not only be able to create maps, but maps will be sharable over Live, and much like other PC FPSs if you log into a server that has a custom map the game will download and install the map and get you playing. ”
